Protest & Pints

NO STUDENT FEE INCREASE IN A COST OF LIVING CRISES OR EVER!

Óige Ghlas wish to express our strong condemnation of the proposed fee increases for students by Minister for Higher Education James Lawless. These fees would have a harsh effect on many students and families nation-wide and we won't be accepting them without a fight.

Tomorrow at 6PM there will be a protest outside Leinster House, organised by Labour but with support from all opposition parties of the left. We hope to have a strong showing of Óige Ghlas members at it. If you can make it, please come along and show your support. The Green Party spokesperson for Higher Education, Councillor Eva Dowling will be a speaker at the event.

Afterwards at 7PM, we coincidentally have a Dáil tour and social planned, if you've been on the tour before, you can still come along to the social, and please don't feel put off if you can make the tour but can't make the protest, the more the merrier for the social and we all have commitments that mean we sometimes miss a protest.

It will be a great opportunity for new members to get to know more people in our organisation and we hope to have some Green Party reps there who you can meet and ask of them any questions you may have :)
